Madeley: 'Chloe will get horrible press'

Richard Madeley has warned his daughter Chloe that she will receive harsh treatment from the press over the coming years.

The TV host and his wife Judy Finnegan have encouraged 21-year-old Chloe to follow her ambitions for a broadcasting career in recent years.

Chloe currently presents red carpet segments for Richard & Judy's New Position on digital channel Watch. She also fronted Big Brother spinoff Big Mouth alongside her brother Jack on a temporary basis in 2007.

Discussing the implications of his daughter's career decision, Madeley told The Times: "I've spoken to her. As has Judy. The elephant in the room here is that every single person in public life gets the s**t kicked out of them.

"For every decent review or pleasant comment, there is a horrible picture or a caption. And you absolutely have to be prepared for that. And she says she is."

Last weekend, it was revealed that Madeley was unhappy over Chloe's plans to move in with her boyfriend David McNidder.
