Spears boyfriend 'released from hospital'

The boyfriend of Jamie Lynn Spears has been released from hospital after suffering head injuries in a car crash.

Casey Aldridge, 20, was hospitalised last weekend, after being thrown from his Ford pickup truck. It is thought that he lost control of the wheel while driving down Louisiana Highway 606.

"Casey got home today, and he's doing really well. He'll have to have some rest for the next few weeks. He's still got a headache, but everything looks good," said a friend of the family.

Aldridge, who is father to Spears's ten-month-old daughter Maddie, is reportedly recuperating at the family home in Mississippi.

The source added that Spears's mother had been keeping the baby "for most of the time during this whole episode, but I guess the baby will be going back home - now Jamie Lynn will have two babies to care for".

Police have charged Aldridge with the misdemeanour offence of careless operation of a vehicle. Two other passengers are reported to have suffered less serious injuries.
