Lohan: 'I'm doing great, very happy'

Lindsay Lohan has dismissed speculation that she is heading for a breakdown, claiming that she is "very happy".

The Mean Girls star was reported to have sparked concern among friends and family after she allegedly stopping eating regular meals and began drinking heavily, following her split from Samantha Ronson earlier this month.

Speaking to E! News at the launch of her spray-tanning line, she said: "I'm doing great, I'm very happy."

However, the 22-year-old admitted that it had been a "hard month", but insisted that she and Ronson remained friends and were still "in touch".
