Pattinson 'would love to be a spin doctor'

Robert Pattinson has joked that he would love to work as a spin doctor if he was not an actor.

The Twilight star, who reportedly nearly gave up acting last year, told Moviefone that he would not mind ditching movies for politics.

"I'd quite like to be a political strategist and like a spin doctor. I'd really, really like to do that. I think I will end up doing that at one point," he said.

The 22-year-old added that he would also "love to play Van Morrison", but admitted: "I doubt I would get the part!"
