Beyoncé: 'I want to be a mother one day'

Beyoncé Knowles has said that although she wants to become a mother at some point in the future, she also wants to accomplish more before she starts a family.

The singer and actress told Larry King Live that she hoped to emulate her own parents when she finally has children of her own.

Beyoncé said: "I have the best mother in the world and my mother is literally my best friend. I respect her so much.

"Of course I want to be a mother and I only pray that my relationship with my daughter is like the relationship I have with my mother."

She added: "When it's time and when it happens, when it is meant to be, it will, but I'm in no rush. I do feel like I have so many things to accomplish, and I'm still young - I'm 27."

The former Destiny's Child frontwoman recently said that playing a mother in new movie Obsessed did not give her the urge to have children straight away.
