Rihanna makes red carpet comeback

Rihanna has made her first major public appearance since she was allegedly attacked by former boyfriend Chris Brown in February.

The 'Disturbia' star was the last celebrity to walk the red carpet at last night's Costume Institute Of The Metropolitan Museum Gala in New York.

Dressed in a Dolce & Gabbana suit and black high heels, the singer posed for photographs but declined to speak to the waiting press.

Brown, who turns 20 today, has pleaded not guilty to charges of assault and making criminal threats in relation to the alleged altercation with Rihanna.

Earlier this month, a preliminary hearing date was set for May 28 to allow time for an investigation into how police photographs of Rihanna's injuries were leaked to the press.
