Wentz: 'Twitter is highest form of narcissism'

Pete Wentz has described Twitter as "the highest form of narcissism" on the internet.

Speaking to the Winnipeg Sun, the Fall Out Boy bass player branded the popularity of the social blogging network as "bizarre", but admitted that he was a dedicated user of the service.

"Like, 'I'm going to get a latte.' Why should anybody care? But at the same time, it's cool," he explained.

"You get to interact with people and show them something inside your life - but you choose how wide you open the door."

He added that he was "not sure" why he spent so many hours on the service, joking that it might be "sado-masochism, or boredom, or a true interest in what people are doing".
