Lily Allen: 'Cheryl is a lovely lady'

Lily Allen has complimented her former enemy Cheryl Cole for her judging work on The X Factor.

The pair had a war of words in 2007 and Allen was recently forced to deny allegations that she had insulted the Girls Aloud singer in a new interview.

Allen told thelondonpaper: "You know, I've never been in the same room as Cheryl Cole, but if I was I'd go up to her and say 'Hi'.

"She's a lovely lady and she's very good on X Factor."

However, Allen said that Joan Collins, who recently snubbed her when the pair met, was "just like I thought she would be - a typical diva".

"She looked very... her face didn't move much," she added.
