Friel stars in 'Breakfast At Tiffany's'
Anna Friel will star in a new West End production of Truman Capote's Breakfast At Tiffany's.

The Pushing Daisies actress will play Holly Golightly, a role made famous by Audrey Hepburn in the 1961 Oscar-winning movie adaptation of the novel.

Friel told the BBC: "[I am] delighted to have been given the opportunity to play one of my all-time favourite heroines."

Joseph Cross will co-star as William 'Fred' Parsons in the show, which will open in September at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.

Sean Mathias, who is currently directing Sir Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart in Waiting For Godot at the same theatre, will helm the production. He has predicted that the show will be "an unashamedly glamorous evening of wit, style, tenderness and music".

Friel's upcoming big screen projects include family adventure Land Of The Lost alongside Will Ferrell.
