The 'Not Fair' singer told followers on Twitter that the world would be a better place without the photographers who document her every move.
"[The paparazzi] are not nice people, they try and get a reaction, so they get good pics. I'd be happy if they went away," she wrote.
"I don't wanna be where I am. I want to do my thing. I don't use those guys' pics to promote my career. I use my own."
Writing during a safari holiday in Africa, Allen added that she could relate to the animals she had come to see, saying: "I already feel guilty about exploiting the animals with my camera, I've got a big long lens, reminds me of some c**ts I know."
The singer went on to claim that she is uncomfortable being associated with contemporary celebrity culture.
"There is a difference between a modern-day celeb and someone who writes and sings songs. I don't wanna be a celeb," she said.
"My point was, I'm pretty sure that my music is what got people talking, I'm confident I could sustain a singing career without the paparazzi.
"And finally, who wants celebs. There are talented people, watch their movies, appreciate their songs, f**k the rest. Its ass [sic]."
