Simpson dad denies pregnancy reports

The father of Ashlee Simpson has dismissed speculation that his daughter is pregnant.

The singer and actress, who is married to Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, was reported to be "a few weeks along" with her second child.

However, writing on his Twitter account, Joe Simpson described the allegation as "just totally not true".

He also added his congratulations on the couple's first anniversary, saying: "One year ago today...My baby got married!! Congrats Ash and Pete."

Simpson and Wentz welcomed their first son together, Bronx Mowgli, last November.
