Rod Stewart 'still wants another child'

Rod Stewart's wife Penny Lancaster has revealed that she and her husband are still hoping to conceive a second child.

The 38-year-old model and 64-year-old singer have two-year-old son Alastair, while Stewart also has six other children from previous relationships.

Lancaster's spokesperson told the Daily Mail: "There are so many factors that combine, but they plan to keep trying.

"They would dearly love a younger brother or sister for Alastair and they will continue to try until it happens and everyone is wishing them luck."

The rep added: "I'm sure it will happen eventually. They did manage to conceive Alastair perfectly naturally. I'm not sure if Penny has considered IVF, that's something which is very personal."

The couple first announced plans for another child in 2007 and reiterated their hopes a year later.
