Andre 'planned surprise party' for Price

Peter Andre was busy planning a surprise birthday party for Katie Price in the weeks before their marriage split, it has been claimed.

The singer had reportedly invited friends and family to celebrate Price's 31st at the couple's family home in Surrey on Friday evening.

According to The Mirror, Andre had already paid for a number of presents, including a huge chocolate cake, jewellery and a family portrait, while it is also believed that he planned to perform a new song at the event.

A source told the newspaper: "Pete is suffering so much. But having to cancel Friday's bash, after all the thought and effort he put into it, is simply heartbreaking.

"Pete really wanted to go all out for Kate's birthday and give her a party to remember. He'd invited her nearest and dearest and had quite a few surprises up his sleeve which had all been arranged with her mum."

Andre and Price announced that they were splitting after three-and-a-half years of marriage last week.
