The 'Mysterious Girl' singer turned down a plea by Price to give their marriage another chance and insisted that the pair seek an amicable agreement over custody of their children.
"There is no way I'm getting back with Kate," The Sun quotes him as saying.
"I wouldn't be putting my children through this hell if I wasn't serious. I want a divorce - and I want it to be as amicable as possible so we can all get on with our lives."
It is believed that Andre has held talks with his legal team to fight for shared custody of Junior, 3, and Princess, 1. He has also allegedly discussed his rights to money earned by Price since they married.
Price and Andre split earlier this month after three and a half years of marriage.
