Schofield 'bans Katona from 'This Morning'

Phillip Schofield banned Kerry Katona from appearing on a comeback interview on This Morning, it has been claimed.

Katona had complained about Schofield's handling of her last appearance on the programme, when he accused her of being drunk and she maintained she was on prescription medication.

Schofield is said to have cancelled the ex-Atomic Kitten singer's booking on This Morning for May 12 and Loose Women the next day after her comments about him a week earlier at the launch of her latest MTV reality show, The Mirror reports.

A source said: "It was made clear it was very much Phil's decision. She's gutted. Kerry said she was looking forward to going on the show but was still aggrieved at her treatment first time round.

"This tipped Phil over the edge. He was furious she was bringing it up again. He spoke to the team and they all agreed to pull her."

An ITV spokesperson said: "Both This Morning and Loose Women care for Kerry Katona and her well-being, but felt that the time was not right at this moment."
