Madonna 'happy for A-Rod, Hudson'

Madonna is reportedly happy that her rumoured ex, Alex Rodriguez, has moved on with actress Kate Hudson.

The pop superstar is said to be "relieved" that the baseball player for the New York Yankees has begun seeing the Bride Wars star, the New York Daily News reports.

"Madonna is actually relieved that A-Rod seems so happy with Kate," a source said. "He's always treated women like he treats home runs anyway. He's getting a great batting average here.

"In fact, Madonna is actually proud that she's raised the bar for him, so he can date a better calibre of women."

The singer, 50, was recently photographed at a New York Mets baseball game, apparently supporting the Yankees' rivals.

Rodriguez and Hudson were spotted out together in New York City last week.
