The singer, who is part of duo Big & Rich, turned himself into Nashville police to face charges filed by former Nashville Star contestant Jared Ashley, who alleges that Rich hit him in the face, Billboard reports.
The 35-year-old was charged with two misdemeanour counts of assault and one misdemeanour count of harassment. He was later released on a $3,000 bond.
Rich, who said that all the accusations are false, rejected a settlement offer to pay Ashley $2.9 million to have the charges dropped.
