Katie Price agrees to 'quickie' divorce

Katie Price and Peter Andre's divorce could be finalised in just six weeks' time, it has been claimed.

The celebrity couple announced that they were splitting after nearly four years of marriage earlier this month.

Reports later suggested that Andre was keen to secure a 'quickie' divorce - and it is believed that his estranged wife has now agreed to the request.

A source close to Price told the News Of The World: "This has been a landmark couple of days for Katie. It's sad, but she's given up the fight. She now accepts she's never getting Peter back and is ready to move on with her life. It hasn't been easy but she knows it's necessary to enable her to eventually get on with things."

In an interview last weekend, the former glamour model admitted that she felt "pushed into" the divorce and wanted to win back Andre.

A second insider added: "The last five days have completely changed her frame of mind. She's gone from refusing to consider the possibility of divorce to agreeing it's a necessity. She doesn't want it dragging on and has decided that if this is what Peter really wants then that's what he's going to get."

Yesterday, it was claimed that Price is "stressed and barely eating" as she struggles to cope with her current personal problems.
