TV host Daly gave birth to 7lb 15oz Amber Isabella at a London hospital yesterday evening.
Speaking afterwards to the Sunday Mirror, Kay revealed: "She is absolutely beautiful and I'm thrilled."
The couple, who already have a four-year-old daughter named Phoebe, confirmed that they were expecting a baby in December last year following weeks of speculation.
Announcing her joy at the time, Daly commented: "We are over the moon about the prospect of a new addition to our family. We're very much looking forward to having a brother or sister for Phoebe to play with."
The presenter is expected to concentrate on her new arrival over the coming months before returning to host Strictly Come Dancing alongside Bruce Forsyth in the autumn.
A source revealed: "Tess loves motherhood more than anything and as a couple family life for them always comes first before work. But now the baby's born she can enjoy the first few months of her life then step up to host the show with Bruce."
