As Simmons was in labour on Friday, she took to her Twitter page to confirm her baby was on the way.
The fashion CEO wrote: "It's time!! No turning back! At hospital in labour right now!!
"Having contractions now! Ooo- wee! It's like WHOA! Love & Light, KLS."
According to E! News, Hounsou and Simmons became parents of a baby boy on Saturday morning.
Kimora Lee Simmons and ex-husband Russell Simmons share custody of their daughters, Ming Lee, 9, and Aoki Lee, 6. The child is Hounsou's first.
