The chef has been accused of cheating on wife Tana and using pre-prepared food at his gastropub restaurants, while his foreign eateries have also lost money, the Daily Mail reports.
Ramsay said: "We were told to go into administration, that it would be smoother for everyone. I thought of selling some of the company. My wife and I discussed selling our house.
"It was the worst b****cking ever. They told me I was f***ed. It's taken several million of my own money with several more million to come but I'm still standing."
He added: "Tenacity and ambition overtook me. We thought we could do anything, that we could not fail. We flew too high, too fast.
"We discovered that there are limits to the appetite for Gordon Ramsay. There is a level of snobbery and fickleness in LA. We found aggression in New York. And in Paris it was arrogance beyond belief."
Channel 4 was recently found to be in breach of Ofcom rules after its broadcast of Ramsay's Great British Nightmare included 115 uses of the 'F' word in its first 40 minutes.
