Love Hewitt 'wants proposal within year'

Jennifer Love Hewitt has joked that she is expecting a marriage proposal from boyfriend Jamie Kennedy within the next year.

Speaking on Arizona radio's Johnjay And Rich Show, the Ghost Whisperer star admitted that Kennedy has been slightly nervous following recent speculation that the couple will wed.

"The poor guy was on fire. He was like, 'No, no, no. That's not true!'" she laughed.

"I was like, 'God, would that be the worst thing in the world? Excuse me, but just for a second, there's a line of people who would probably be okay with that [rumour]!'"

When questioned by Kennedy on when she was expecting a real proposal, she replied: "A timeline? By this time next year, if we're not planning something then there's a situation!"
