Perry: 'Ditto gay insult was tacky'

WENN

Katy Perry has hit back at Beth Ditto after the singer branded her "offensive to gay culture".

Speaking to thelondonpaper at last night's Glamour Awards in London, the 'I Kissed A Girl' star suggested that Ditto's critical remarks about her signature track had been "tacky".

"I heard that she said something about me," Perry admitted.

"I don't want to get into a slanging war with anybody so I don't want to say anything bad about her. But I'm not impressed.

"I've learnt in the past year that one artist should never insult another artist's music - it's tacky. And with me, it always comes back to bite me on the ass!"

Ditto had claimed that the song was "an anthem for straight girls" who "liked faking gay" and accused Perry of "riding on the back" of gay culture.
