The 36-year-old, who began dating the What Happens In Vegas star last year, told thelondonpaper that the pair had agreed to part ways amicably.
"I'm very single and very happy," he said.
"Cameron and I are still friends. I'll be going back to the States soon - I don't know if I'll get the chance to meet her as I'm so busy I don't what I'm doing!"
Speculation mounted that the couple had split last month, after Diaz was spotted lunching with Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine and later introducing him to her mother.
