Travolta, Preston 'moving forward'

John Travolta and Kelly Preston are "moving forward" after the death of their son Jett in January, according to a family friend.

The pal told People that Preston has appeared to have "turned a corner" and "sounds a lot better now".

"For months, she just sounded so tired, like everything was taking all she had," they said.

The friend added that when the Pelham 1-2-3 star first lost his son "he didn't know what to do with himself", but now the couple have found a way "to be strong for the other person".

"They're weakest when they're alone. There is moving forward, but there is never moving on. Moving on means that they are cutting their loses and forgetting about it, but that's not what they're doing.

"They're picking up the pieces and moving forward."
