The Jonas Brothers' mum has spoken out about their decision to remain virgins until they get married.
Speaking to Good Housekeeping, Denise Jonas said that she supported her childrens' choice but admitted that she was aware of the temptation that they faced.
"They are men. They have desires. They have testosterone. If they make a mistake, I'm not going to hate them," People quotes her as saying.
"I don’t think they are above or below being seduced. I would be foolish if I thought that. They are tested and tested, like every one of us. I pray for them."
The matriarch went on to defend Kevin, 21, Joe, 19, and 16-year-old Nick from the criticism that they have faced for wearing purity rings to symbolise their virginity.
"They've been criticised for proclaiming things they never proclaimed. And what's the criticism? They don't want to go out there giving everyone an STD? What's so terrible about that?
"I try to guide them with their choices. They have been hurt in relationships by girls. But it's just about growing up and learning what it means to be in a relationship."
