Andre: 'I wouldn't make money from split'

Peter Andre has rejected claims that he is trying to financially profit from his recent split with wife Katie Price.

The singer denied allegations that he had staged photographs of himself and his children on the beach to sell to the press.

Andre told New!: "I can swear that those pictures were not set up. The thought of profiting in any way from this terrible situation is totally beyond anything I would consider doing.

"I was furious when I first read those stories because the last thing on my mind at the moment is making money and I certainly wouldn't involve my own children in anything like that."

He added: "Unfortunately, I am being followed by paparazzi constantly at the moment, and I'd have to stay in the house to avoid this. That's no good when you've got kids because they need to go out sometimes too!"

Andre also denied reports that he has already met up with Price to discuss the future care of their children.
