Ricci 'ends engagement to comedian'

Christina Ricci has reportedly ended her engagement to comedian boyfriend Owen Benjamin.

The Black Snake Moan star met Benjamin on the set of forthcoming rom-com All Faire's In Love and the couple confirmed their plans to wed in March.

Speaking to People, a friend of the actress said: "Owen had a birthday party this past Sunday, and everything seemed fine.

"Sometime after, they got into a fight and decided to reevaluate things. [Then] the engagement was off."

A second insider added that the pair "really are still close" and "talk almost every day", adding: "It was a very mature decision and they both felt good about it. They're definitely still friends."

A representative for Ricci has declined to comment.
