Simpson addresses Trachtenberg 'fight'

Ashlee Simpson has spoken out following reports that she clashed with Gossip Girl star Michelle Trachtenberg at a recent event.

According to Perez Hilton, the Melrose Place actress bumped into Trachtenberg at the DJ Hero party in Los Angeles on Monday night, where she began an argument.

However, a representative for Simpson has described the incident as "just a misunderstanding".

"Ashlee has since apologised to Michelle and they remain on good terms," the spokeperson told E! Online.

Simspon is married to Trachtenberg's ex boyfriend, Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz.
