Kirstie Allsopp has denied reports that she was forced to reshoot scenes for a Channel 4 show because of her use of language.

The Location, Location, Location presenter had previously revealed on her Twitter page that she was forbidden from using certain phrases on air.

Allsopp said: "Just been told I can't say 'For God's sake!' or 'Christ almighty' on TV (and it's Channel 4!!) I am so sick of compliance I could scream. Aah!"

She later added: "OMG Talking to boss, then he says "What's this? Channel 4 press office just had a call re. you, us and our swearing policy. If anyone has a problem/question with something I've said on Twitter, Tweet me, don't call the Channel 4 press office!"

A Channel 4 spokesperson told the Daily Mail: "During filming, Kirstie was asked to perform a retake in case there was a compliance issue with some language.

"Like all broadcasters, Channel 4 is guided by Ofcom regulations which regulate the use of swear words before the watershed. However, no one at C4 has yet seen the footage so there may be no issue with what Kirstie preferred to say."

However, Allsopp has since said: "I am totally ignoring 'CrikeyGate' but the Mail has got it entirely wrong - clearly they were too lazy to call me and ask me what happened! I have not had to reshoot anything, it's all totally made up!!"
