Katie Price 'is in complete meltdown'

Katie Price is crumbling under the pressure of her split from Peter Andre, it has been claimed.

The glamour model announced that she had been dumped by Andre last month and the estranged couple are now said to be making plans for a 'quickie' divorce.

Discussing the impact of the break-up, a friend of Price told the News Of The World: "Katie's hit rock bottom. She doesn't know what to do with herself. Her behaviour is all over the place. She's been sobbing, trying to call Peter and attacking anyone she can. Her friends are worried she's drinking too much."

The insider added: "Katie's gone into a complete meltdown this week. All of a sudden this became a reality. She's become convinced Peter is out to destroy her and take away the reputation she's worked so hard to build up."

However, sources close to the star still expect her to bounce back from her recent troubles - as predicted by her mother Amy last weekend.

One pal commented: "She wants to come out fighting. She's more ambitious than ever. She thinks that in two years [Pete will] have no career and she'll be the one everyone is talking about again."

A spokeswoman for Andre recently confirmed that the pair are "unlikely" to speak to each other again.
