Parker: 'Don't be afraid to look like an ass'

Mary-Louise Parker has revealed that she never worries about humiliating herself.

The Weeds star has admitted that the biggest lesson she's learned has been to "be brave".

Parker told Paste magazine: "Be brave. Don't be afraid to look like an ass. No matter what. I try to practice that every day.

"It just kind of goes against your human nature; you don’t want to humiliate yourself. But you can't be afraid of that as an actor because people do humiliate themselves, and I want to be as much like a person as I can when you’re watching me."

The actress also confirmed that she will be working with Esquire, where she will be reading bedtime stories on the internet.
