Andre: 'I'm not seeking quickie divorce'

Peter Andre has dismissed speculation that he is seeking a "quickie" divorce from estranged wife Katie Price.

Reports had suggested that the 'Mysterious Girl' singer was eager to secure a swift break from Price, following their separation after nearly four years of marriage.

Writing in his New! column, he said: "There are rumours it will all be over in six weeks. That's news to me. I didn't even know you could get divorced that quickly."

The 36-year-old went on to say that he had lost one stone in weight since the split but was trying to stay "focused" and "strong" for the couple's children, three-year-old Junior and Princess, 22 months.

"I'm obviously still reeling from everything that's happening in my personal life...[but] if I crumble then I'm no use to them."

Earlier today, Price denied tabloid rumours that she was heading for a "complete meltdown" in the wake of her failed marriage.
