Watson unveiled as new Burberry model

Emma Watson has been unveiled as the new model for Burberry.

The Harry Potter star will follow in the footsteps of actress Rachel Weisz and model Kate Moss in a new advertising campaign for the fashion house, The Daily Mail reports.

The 19-year-old, who was rumoured to have signed a deal with rival label Chanel, is seen in photographs sporting a new grown up look.

"Having known and admired the lovely Emma Watson for quite some time, she was the obvious choice for this campaign," Burberry’s creative director Christopher Bailey told The Evening Standard.

He added: "Emma has a classic beauty, a great character and a modern edge. Her charm, intellect and brilliant sense of fun made the whole shoot feel like a picnic on the Thames."

Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince opens in cinemas on July 17.
