VV Brown wary of 'cool' label

The 'LEAVE!' singer claimed that the label is wrongly applied to people who conform to stereotypes rather than embracing individuality.
Speaking to Take 5 magazine, she explained: "I hate trendy, pretentious sub-cultures. I don't want to associate with a group who feel they are the cool kids."
She added: "I ask, what is cool? You go into Hoxton, supposedly this cool area of London, and there are people conforming and basically just wearing a costume. To me, being cool is about individuality and being yourself. So if people say I'm cool, I have to take it as a compliment."
Brown's new single 'Shark In The Water' was released this week. Her debut album Travelling Like The Light will follow on June 15.
