A 250 square foot one-bedroom apartment valued at $50,000 (£30,716) was purchased on Monday for the family of Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail, Access Hollywood reports.
The actor will take up full ownership of the residence from the trust set up for the movie's young stars when he turns 18, provided that he finishes school.
"He has to complete an education. We are very clear about that," a spokesman for the trust said.
Ismail and nine-year-old Rubina Ali both lost their homes last month when city authorities cleared out a slum dwelling which they both lived in.
The trust added that they are "actively looking" for a new home for Ali.
