Ramsay mum: 'I didn't tell off Gordon'

Gordon Ramsay's mother has reportedly denied verbally disciplining her son over his recent spat with Australian journalist Tracey Grimshaw.

The celebrity chef made offensive remarks about Grimshaw at a food show at the weekend before giving a full public apology for the incident yesterday.

In his statement on television, Ramsay claimed that his mother had telephoned him and given him a "b****cking" for his comments.

However, his 64-year-old mother Helen Cosgrove reportedly told The Sun: "I haven't spoken to Gordon since the weekend.

"He calls every Saturday for a chat. But I certainly didn't tell him off about what he did in Australia. I won't be speaking to him until this Saturday."
