Peaches marriage 'was a publicity stunt'

Peaches Geldof married Max Drummey as a publicity stunt, the rock star has claimed.

Drummey admitted that the pair tied the knot last August in a bid to help promote his band Chester French.

"It was totally a publicity stunt. 100%. I have Peaches on a retainer. Not as my PR, as my friend. On my personal payroll," Metro quotes him as saying.

"She's my friend for money. She also orchestrates publicity stunts for me. I've garnered so much publicity from awesome people."

The pair announced that they were splitting in February after six months despite "much soul-searching".
