Beyoncé 'takes 14 metre car ride'

Beyoncé reportedly demanded to be driven just 14 metres over the road during her current stay in London.

The 'Halo' singer, accompanied by assistants and a team of bodyguards, took two chauffeur-driven vehicles for the short ride from the Mandarin Oriental Hotel to Harvey Nicholls, located on the other side of the street in Knightsbridge.

According to the Daily Star, the singer refused to walk the distance in her high heels and spent 20 minutes in the store before being driven back to her hotel.

"Beyoncé has always been down to earth but her antics were astonishing," a source told the newspaper.

"It looked like they were preparing for a long journey, but it was over as soon as it began. It would have been much quicker to have strolled across the road."

Beyoncé is currently in the UK for the final dates of her 'I Am’ world tour.

Earlier this year, the star was reported to have refused to walk to her car after rehearsing for President Obama's inauguration ball.
