Gibson divorce records 'to be sealed'

Mel Gibson's divorce papers will be kept sealed, it has been reported.

The actor's ex-wife Robyn filed for divorce after 28 years of marriage earlier this year.

A document of agreement states that depositions, tax records and accounting information will be kept confidential during the court proceedings, People reports.

The couple stated their desire to have the records classified so that assets will not be jeopardised by revealing business affairs and to protect their ten-year-old son Thomas.

The 'Lethal Weapon' star's net worth is estimated at one billion dollars, while it is expected that Robyn will receive half of everything he earned during their marriage after not signing a prenuptial agreement.

Gibson recently announced that his girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva is pregnant.
