The Hills star and baseball player parted ways with Hilton earlier this week after a six-month relationship, despite previously hinting at a future marriage.
Speaking to TMZ, a representative for Reinhardt said: "Doug refuses to take part in this ridiculous media circus. He wishes Paris and all of her future boyfriends the best of luck."
The actor had initially denied reports that the couple had split, telling E! News that "everything is okay between us".
His former girlfriend was reported to have spent last night with footballer Cristiano Ronaldo after the pair were photographed partying together at a Los Angeles nightclub.
