The artist's petition to adopt four-year-old Mercy James was originally rejected when the court claimed that she did not meet the residency requirements.
Yesterday however, the singer won the appeal of the original decision due to her "commitment to helping disadvantaged children", BBC News reports.
The court added that James would be "better taken care of by foreign parents who will give her love and affection".
Madonna has revealed that she is "extremely grateful" to the tribunal for its ruling.
"My family and I look forward to sharing our lives with her," she said.
James's uncle has said that the child "will be joining Madonna soon".
