The third-in-line to the throne topped the list of 50 men compiled by a celebrity panel for Company magazine. Among the judges was the Prince's then-rumoured girlfriend Caroline Flack.
Speaking to PA, editor Victoria White said: "Caroline did seem a bit distracted and now we know why.
"The decision was unanimous between the judges - our readers are really starting to love Prince Harry and see him as a highly eligible bachelor - he's posh and polite, yet rugged, fun and down-to-earth at the same time."
Radio DJ George Lamb was named the UK's second most desirable bachelor, while Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson rounded out the top three.
The full judging panel included White, Flack, Apprentice winner Michelle Dewberry, author Katy Regan and TV presenters Dawn Porter and Zoe Salmon.
The top ten most eligible bachelors are:
1. Prince Harry
2. George Lamb
3. Robert Pattinson
4. Noel Fielding
5. Paul Sculfor
6. Ed Westwick
7. Guy Ritchie
8. Jack Penate
