Hilton: 'I'm just friends with Ronaldo'

Paris Hilton has insisted that she is "just friends" with footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.

The couple sparked rumours of a romance last week when they were photographed partying together at an LA nightclub. Ronaldo later spent around two hours with the socialite at her sister's house.

However, the heiress has laughed off speculation that the pair are now dating, telling X17 Online that she considers the former Manchester United player to be "just a friend".

Ronaldo is currently celebrating his £80 million transfer to Real Madrid with friends and family, including his mother, in Las Vegas.

According to The Sun, the 24-year-old had asked Hilton to accompany him on the vacation but she declined. A source said: "Cristiano did everything to try to persuade Paris to join him in Vegas."

Hilton split from Hills star Doug Reinhardt just 24 hours before meeting Ronaldo at the MyHouse venue. She was originally linked to the footballer last year, although later spoke out to deny reports that she had pursued him at a Hollywood party.
