Spears 'banned from Ciara London party'

Britney Spears's father reportedly banned her from attending a party thrown by Ciara in London at the weekend.

The 'Womanizer' star is thought to have been looking forward to the bash hosted by the R&B singer, who is supporting her UK tour, at Wandsworth's Club W on Saturday night.

"Brit had told Ciara she would love to come... but when her father found out he put a stop to it and made sure Britney went back to her hotel," one insider told thelondonpaper.

"Her father has kept her on a tight leash since arriving in the UK and she's rarely left her hotel suite for most of the time that she hasn't been performing. Understandably, he's terrified she's going to slip back into bad habits."

Spears is also reported to have cancelled last minute reservations at Boujis nightclub in Kensington yesterday on her father's orders.

However, the 27-year-old was photographed smiling outside her Knightsbridge hotel earlier today, where she treated waiting fans to an impromptu meet-and-greet session, posing for photographs and signing autographs.
