Lohan, Ronson 'never rekindled romance'

A friend of Lindsay Lohan has dismissed reports that she has split from Samantha Ronson again, insisting that the couple never rekindled their romance.

The Mean Girls actress was reported to have parted ways with Ronson on Monday night, after they reconciled during a trip to London earlier this month.

However, a source close to the couple has told People: "[Lindsay] is telling everyone that Sam dumped her again, but it makes no sense since they never got back together."

When asked about recent photographs showing Lohan and Ronson together, the friend replied: "Sam is a nice person and wouldn't throw anyone out of her life, but it was no more than that."

The insider went on to say that even a friendship now "seems impossible", explaining: "No matter how many times she promises to change, Lindsay loses control and starts acting like a maniac."

Lohan broke up with the celebrity DJ in April. She later admitted that she had "no idea" that their romance was ending.
