Kelly Rowland 'wants to adopt'

Kelly Rowland has revealed that she is eager to adopt a child and start a family.

The former Destiny's Child singer told thelondonpaper at the launch of the Spanish Court Hotel in Jamaica that she would prefer to take responsibility for an older child.

Rowland said: "I would adopt in a heartbeat but I don't want a baby. I want to get a child that's five, six or even ten.

"I was doing Home For Holidays, a charitable programme for kids in the States, and the older children don't get adopted as much."

She added: "I don't want that many children, but I want a family of five, including adopted children."
