According to the Daily Mail, the track by Roger Winslet and fellow musician Pete Brooks was poised to appear on the film by Madonna's then-husband Guy Ritchie.
Roger said: "Me and Pete heard that Guy Ritchie was making a follow-up to Lock Stock, so a mutual friend sent him a tape of track that I had only just written.
"Apparently he absolutely loved it and asked us to go down to his place at Chelsea Harbour. When we got there he played it and played it again saying that it was perfect for the soundtrack. I thought, 'Lovely, we've cracked it'."
He added: "However, unbeknown to me, Madonna, Ritchie's wife at the time, was in on the music selection. I heard that as soon as she knew who my daughter was, she scuppered it.
"Just imagine it, I was that close to being on Snatch. Bloody hell, if you can get on a movie soundtrack you've really made it."
