Katie Holmes will pay tribute to Judy Garland during her rumoured appearance on So You Think You Can Dance, it has been reported.

The actress will sing 'Get Happy' from the late Garland's 1950 musical Summer Stock, according to US Weekly.

A source told the magazine that Holmes will wear an all-black outfit - similar to the one that Garland wore in the movie - complete with a black velvet fedora.

It is understood that she will perform a song directed by show producer and judge Nigel Lythgoe and choreographed by Tyce Diorio, set against a city skyline backdrop along with eight male dancers.

"She looks incredible. She is just doing an amazing job. Everyone is absolutely floored by how talented she is," a source said.

Holmes danced during a guest star stint on Eli Stone last year, while the insider added that her appearance "might broadcast this week as news has started to leak out".

Anne Hathaway will portray The Wizard Of Oz actress in the upcoming biopic Get Happy.
