Spears 'requests stripper pole at hotel'

Britney Spears has reportedly cancelled her booking at a top Dublin hotel after managers refused to install a stripper pole in her room.

The 'Womanizer' star is scheduled to bring her 'Circus' tour to the Irish capital tonight, ahead of a sold-out, two-date stint at the city's O2 arena.

Speaking to the Irish Herald, an insider said: "A request was made to Britney's original hotel in Dublin to see if they could install a pole there... but they refused point blank.

"They're well used to having major celebrities there and they're happy to accommodate them, but this was just a step too far."

The source went on to say that Spears "adores working out on a pole as it helps her keep toned" and prefers to exercise in the privacy of her own room.

She is now expected to stay at the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel during her visit.
